PALS FOR PALESTINE: KICKSTARTING REEM’S CHEF COLLAB SERIES FOR GAZA

We’re excited to be the first chefs to collaborate with Reem’s for their new Pals for Palestine series! We created a special Man’oushe that will run on the menu at heir Mission location for both lunch and dinner, for 1 week only. 10% of sales will be sent to MECA (Middle East Children’s Alliance) For Peace.
Our Lion Dance Cafe Man’oushe is based on shaobing sandwich #65 which, despite dating back to summer 2021, remains one of our most requested dishes to this day. Reem’s freshly baked flatbread is topped with sambal tomat, fried potatoes, tender eggplant, vegan lemon aioli, cilantro, mint, shaved onion and roasted sesame seeds, and served open faced to showcase its glory.

We’re thrilled to be invited back to cook in this San Francisco Chinatown institution, this time with a 100% LDC menu served family style in Moongate Lounge’s private dining room.
It’ll be the 11th day of lunar new year (celebrations last two weeks), and we’re planning a one-off dinner you won’t want to miss! Expect a citrus Prosperity Toss salad, seven green vegetables kueh, Teochew style preserved olive vegetable rice with roasted pine nuts, almond sesame cake and more.
Drinks-wise, our collaborative Lion Dance Ale brewed with Calicraft using fresh ginger and lemongrass will be available for purchase, alongside amazing cocktails and drinks by Moongate Lounge’s outstanding bar team (non alcoholic options available).
On the lounge side, exclusive LDC snacks will be available for one night only (please note that unlike reservations for our 8 course dinner in the private dining room, food in the lounge is first come-first serve while supplies last).

Service Style: This is a family style experience with shared plates and communal seating.
Group Reservations: To ensure that you and your party will be seated together, we recommend reserving as a group or emailing the lounge. Table capacity being limited, we cannot guarantee that very large parties can be fully seated at one table.
Gluten Free Options and Dietary Info: this menu is fully vegan. If you require a gluten free option, please make your request at the time of booking! We cannot guarantee GF options with late or no notice.
Common Allergens: Due to the shared nature of this event, any other modifications will be politely declined. Please note that the following will be used: wheat, soy, sesame, almonds, peanuts, pine nuts, alliums, nightshades, mushrooms, mustard, coconut, sea vegetables.
Dinner Start Time: the first seating starts at 5:45pm and the second seating at 8:30pm. Please take note of your seating and arrive on time. Late arrivals and no call-no shows will not be eligible for refunds.
Dinner End Time: we kindly ask that our dear guests who joined us for the first seating continue to enjoy their evening in the lounge area after the last course has been savored, so that guests joining us for the 2nd seating may be welcomed in a timely manner. More beverages and LDC snacks are available at Moongate Lounge for the fun to continue.
Refunds and Cancellations: All sales are final. If you can no longer make it, you are welcome to gift or resell your ticket to a friend, and notify the lounge at least 24 hours ahead of time so that they may update the guest list and grant them entry.

Terah Bajjalieh is a queer Palestinian woman winemaker and certified sommelier, born and based in California and focusing on minimal intervention wines using locally grown organic and biodynamic grapes for exceptional results. In addition to the pairings included with the meal, bottles of Terah Wines will be available for purchase (to go) at the end of the event.

this is a 21+ only event (no kids). wine pairings are included in the price. while we always had loads of non alcoholic options for our entire run, this particular event is planned around the pairings, no tickets will be sold without.
additional drinks including Terah Wines, merch, house ferments etc available for purchase onsite, to take home.
TIPS / donations appreciated to help us make rent, utilities etc until we find a buyer. (know someone who might be interested? send them our way!)
no refunds or cancellations. if you can no longer make it, you are welcome to donate or sell your ticket to a friend, and notify us at least 24 hours a head so that we may update their name on the list to grant them entry.
please arrive on time. there is a 10 minute window from 6:30-6:40pm to allow for all to arrive.
this is an indoor event. let’s keep each other safe by testing for covid ahead of time.
no BYO: outside food and drinks are never permitted. anyone bringing in outside items or behaving disrespectfully in any way will be asked to leave with no further explanation nor refund. LDC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, and does not owe you anything should you put us in a situation where we have to remove you for any reason whatsoever.
late arrivals and no-call/no-shows will not be eligible for refunds.

In honor of Fathers’ day, join us for a five course (+snacks) celebration of beautiful seasonal produce with beer pairings by our friends at AAPI-owned brewery Calicraft, in presence of brewmaster Thomas Vo. He’ll even bring a few super special limited beers from his personal reserve!
